Mid-Wilshire is a densely populated residential neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles. Its commercial and public-use areas also make it the site of world-class museums and research centers and of widely known shopping districts and restaurants.
Mid-Wilshire is notable as the most diverse neighborhood or city in Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Mapping L.A. survey, containing an almost even proportion of whites, Asians, Hispanics and blacks.
